Leaving Greve in Chianti, we headed south-east into Tuscany towards the village of Arezzo.
Nestled in the heart of Tuscany, Arezzo dazzles with its medieval charm and artistic wealth. Its cobbled streets wind between historic buildings, immersing visitors in the region’s history.
The Piazza Grande, with its magnificent architecture and famous fresco by Piero della Francesca, captivates art lovers. Roman remains, such as the amphitheatre and thermal baths, tell of the town’s glorious past. Arezzo, birthplace of many artists, is packed with cultural treasures to be discovered in its churches and museums.
With its tasty gastronomy and enchanting landscapes, Arezzo appeals to travelers in search of Tuscan authenticity.
On the way back to Greve In Chianti, we made a loop passing through Castello di Brolio.
What happens next: Assisi in Tuscany.
